You must have antivirus protection on your computer before you can connect to the network. Please use the following instructions to ensure proper antivirus operation on your computer.

For University of Toronto students:

If you do not have antivirus software installed on your computer, please download and install Symantec Antivirus from here.

For all others:

If you do not have antivirus software installed on your computer, please download and install the free version of AVG Antivirus from here.

If you do have an antivrus program running on your computer, please read this to ensure it is properly configured. If you are not able to pass this test with your antivirus software, it is recommended that you uninstall it and install Symantec Antivirus from the link above.

NOTE: If you have a trial version of Norton AntiVirus, please uninstall it as well as LiveUpdate that comes with it and install Symantec Antivirus.

NOTE2: Please uninstall all components of trial versions of AntiVirus software you might have on your computer and install a non-trial version, i.e. Symantec Antivirus.

NOTE3: Windows Vista users might have a problem updating Symantec AV if a trial version of Windows Live OneCare is installed. The solution would be to uninstall Windows Live OneCare.
